STI tests in LoveLust: results, reminders and where to get tested

Why a reminder helps

Many STIs cause no symptoms, so the only way to know is to get tested. How often depends on your sex life and on what your clinic recommends: for some people once a year, for others every few months.

Whatever your rhythm, a reminder turns a good intention into a habit.

How STI test reminders work

Log your last test and choose an interval, such as every three or six months. The reminder starts counting from that test and moves forward every time you log a new one.

  • Reminders at the interval you choose, with the next date always visible.
  • Planned tests and appointments, with a heads-up beforehand and on the day.
  • Discreet notifications that say nothing about what they are for.

Every result in one place

For each test, record the date, what was tested and the result: chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, HIV, hepatitis, herpes, HPV, mpox and more, positive, negative or pending. Add any treatment you were given.

Your history is there when a clinician asks when you were last tested, and LoveLust+ can include it in a PDF report for your appointment.

Testing after a risk

When you log an encounter with a higher STI risk, or a condom that failed, LoveLust suggests getting tested and reminds you of time-sensitive options such as PEP. It also shows where you can get tested near you.

Appointments, too

Booked a test at a clinic? Add it as an appointment with a note on what to bring, and LoveLust reminds you a few days before and on the day. Once it is done, mark it as taken and add the results when they arrive.

Privacy

Your results never leave your phone

Test results are among the most sensitive data there is. In LoveLust they are stored encrypted on your device, never on our servers, never sold and never shared. No account is needed.

Reminders can be made discreet, so a lock screen shows only a gentle nudge.
