About our content
LoveLust Learn explains sexual health, protection and the menstrual cycle in plain words, with the sources behind every health claim. This page says who writes it, who pays for it, how it is checked and what to do if something is wrong.
Who writes it
Ángela Simón Sánchez, family physician and sex therapist at Seitō. LoveLust commissioned and paid her to write the clinical specification that the app's safety estimate and cycle tracking are built on, and the educational texts that came with it. Her articles carry her name and say that LoveLust commissioned them. Her work is the basis of those features; it is not an endorsement of any result the app gives.
The LoveLust editorial team writes the rest: what each protection method is, the glossary and practical guides. Those articles are credited to LoveLust.
When we publish experts we invite, each article shows who wrote it, their role and whether we paid for it.
How it is checked
Every health claim is backed by a source: international and national health bodies such as the WHO, the CDC, the NHS and Spain's Ministry of Health, professional societies and clinical guidelines. The sources are listed at the end of each article, with links.
An article shows "Reviewed by" only when a health professional other than its author has checked its claims and sources, with the date of that review. An article that has not been reviewed yet shows no reviewer.
We review every article at least once a year, and sooner when guidance changes. Each article shows the date of its last change.
Languages
Ángela Simón wrote her texts in Spanish. The other languages are translations made by LoveLust. Where a translation and the Spanish differ, the Spanish is the reference.
Independence
No brand, pharmaceutical company or sponsor pays for, writes or reviews these articles. An article may suggest where in the LoveLust app to record something; it never promotes a product.
What it is not
Learn is educational information. It does not replace an assessment by a health professional, and LoveLust is not a medical device: it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. In an emergency, call 112 in Europe, or your local emergency number.
Report an error
If you think something is wrong or out of date, tell us from the support page. We read every report, correct what we confirm, and say on the article what changed.
Who publishes it
